Preheat the oven to 375º and prepare a baking sheet.
Pop open the canister of the crescent roll dough, laying out a few triangles on a surface.
Cut four to five triangles into smaller, thinner pieces and set aside.
Open the hot dog package and pat dry.
Wrap each hot dog with a few of the crescent roll dough pieces until it resembles a "mummy". Repeat for remaining hot dogs (this recipe yields 6 wrapped hot dogs).
Place the mummy hot dogs onto the baking sheet and place in the oven. Bake for roughly 15-17 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
Optional to add silly stick-on eyes!
Notes
Use a pizza cutter or a very sharp pairing or utility knife to cut the strips of crescent dough so that they are uniform when wrapping the dough around the hot dog.
Be sure to work with the dough when it is as cold as possible so it doesn't get too tacky.
Brush the egg wash on top to give it a golden crust.
