Begin by chopping the chard into smaller pieces, similar to cutting lettuce, then set aside. In a medium sauté pan, add in two tablespoons of oil, then add in the chard.
1 large bunch swiss chard, 2 tablespoon olive oil
Sauté for 5-7 minutes on medium heat, then turn off the heat once the chard has wilted.
1 large bunch swiss chard
Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to a boil and add in the egg noodles (or noodles of choice). Cook until al dente, then strain and add back to the pot.
1 cup egg noodles
Add the tablespoons of butter to the egg noodles and mix to melt. Top with salt and pepper and continue to stir until the butter has fully melted.
4 tbs butter, salt, pepper
To the egg noodles, add in the swiss chard and toss to combine. Serve.
Notes
Cooking the pasta to al dente will keep the pasta from falling apart, and gives the pasta a nice bite when eaten. Also, don't forget to salt the water while it boils! It helps give the pasta flavor from the inside out.
